The old heart of town - It is the most attractive part of the town with many cultural and historical monuments and attracts large number of tourists.
The bščaršija Square dates back to the medieval times. With the arrival of the Ottomans, the square became one of the strongest trading and craft centres in the Balkans. The Čaršija (bazaar) was constructed based on the Arab market places with rows of spacious parcels linked by numerous streets.
